Aspects of my identity
There are different aspects of my identity a person wouldn't know or be able to see just by looking at me. People may know that I am a teenager, although they don't know how old I am. Most people assume I am younger than 16 years old. Most of the people I meet, think that I am 14 years old. The reasons as to why they think I am younger might be because I am tiny. Another aspect that people wouldn't know about me is that I have been living in America for only ten months. People get shocked when I tell them I have been in the United States for only ten months. The comments or response that I get are, " you're lying!" or " how did you know English, then? Did you learn it in your country?" The answer to that is that I didn't learn English. However, I use to watch a lot of movies and read books. I also use to take it as a subject. It was hard to adapt it for me as soon as I came. As time passes by, I worked hard without giving up. Lastly, all people have their own biggest fears. Human beings are scared of animals, heights, dark places, etc... Personally, I am scared of reptiles. Reptiles are my biggest fear. I usually say, I wouldn't care if I see a lion instead of a garden snake. These are some of my aspects that people wouldn't be able to see just by looking at me.
